Aims & Features

Music
This major aims at building up students’ fundamental knowledge of music so as to prepare them for further studies in music or to pursue a musicrelated career. The curriculum covers basic theory and practices ranging from western classical music to Chinese Music and world music.

We have 15 years of experience in delivering subjects in media and cultural studies, and are one of the most recognized AD programmes in Hong Kong.

Opportunities for Further Studies

The inter-disciplinary nature of the Associate of Arts in Media, Cultural and Creative Studies programme allows graduates to apply for a range of degree programmes, for example, media studies, cultural studies, cultural management, creative media, film studies, communication studies, gender studies, Asian studies, global studies, comparative literature, humanities, social sciences, music, journalism and visual media.

Career Prospects

The practical training allows graduates to embark on a wide array of careers, including advertising, marketing, art management, public relations and creative industry in both the public and private sectors.

 

Special Entrance Requirements

Applicants are also required to possess the certificate of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Music Theory with Grade 5 or above, or equivalent.
