Aims and features
This major aims at building up students’ fundamental knowledge of music so as to prepare them for further studies in music or to pursue a Musicmusicrelated career. The curriculum covers basic theory and practices ranging from western classical music to Chinese Music and world music.

Our rigorous curriculum covers hot university subjects such as media, journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, cultural and creative studies, and emphasizes your mental agility, language and transferrable skills, all of which are becoming increasingly important for both university education and the job market.
You have the flexibility to select from a pool of elective courses and core courses offered by the other themes.
We have 15 years of experience in delivering subjects in media and cultural studies, and are one of the most recognized AD programmes in Hong Kong.

Over the past 14 years, our graduates have been performing exceptionally well with university entrance to UGC funded programmes, particularly in areas like Arts & Humanities, Cultural Management, Media, Languages, Journalism & Communication, and Education.
Opportunities for Further Studies
The inter-disciplinary nature of the Associate of Arts in Media, Cultural and Creative Studies programme allows graduates to apply for a range of degree programmes, for example, media studies, cultural studies, cultural management, creative media, film studies, communication studies, gender studies, Asian studies, global studies, comparative literature, humanities, social sciences, music, journalism and visual media.

Special Entrance Requirements
Applicants are also required to possess the certificate of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Music Theory with Grade 5 or above, or equivalent.
