Chinese for Professional Communication

Programme Aims & Features

This programme aims to enhance students’ Chinese language proficiency with the emphasis on their professional writing in Chinese as well as various presentation skills applicable in mass communications, business communities, cultural industries and government departments in Hong Kong. It also makes use of various business and public relations concepts and theories in preparing practical documents for business and public relations purposes. The practical training in professional Chinese writing as well as Putonghua will prepare students for career pathways in different industries including culture, education, media, public relations and administration.

Opportunities for Further Studies

Graduates can apply for admissions to senior year places (Year 3) of UGC-funded degree programmes or self-financing degree programmes and complete a bachelor’s degree in 4 years (2 years at sub-degree level and 2 years at bachelor’s degree level)
